Albany CANstruction Team Spirit Award Ethan Wells

McLaren Volunteers

Albany CANstruction Team
Spirit Award

Congratulations Albany CANstruction team for receiving 2021’s Team Spirit Award! Although the charity event did not include its usual in-person innovative can building competition, the organization still found creative ways to raise nearly 120,000 pounds of food and $50,000 for Capital District food pantries!

Headed by Construction Division Structural Engineer Ethan Wells, E.I.T. Wells, McLaren’s Capital District team was able to raise awareness about this great cause and its positive impacts on the community through a motivating video presentation.

As noted by one of the jurors, “Even though they are a new team and only have one build in their Hall of Fame, Team McLaren showcased what CANstruction is all about and why everyone involved loves the event and the difference it makes…McLaren’s heartfelt messaging, fundraising efforts, and overall dedication to the program, has made them the choice for this award.”
