McLaren helped repair the Lafayette Federal Office Building’s basement level parking garage in Washington, DC. Located just two blocks from the White House this historic building, built in the 1940’s, is now home of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. McLaren provided structural engineering services for the area in need of repair above a large, active mechanical room. McLaren conducted a condition assessment and prepared details and procedures for the repairs. The plan allowed the utility conduits suspended from the structure to remain in place and the mechanical equipment below to remain uninterrupted.
