First Man Wins Oscar
for Best Visual Effects

And, the Oscar for Best Visual Effects goes to, “First Man”! McLaren is thrilled to have contributed to this award-winning film, capturing the story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon. McLaren performed a structural analysis of the Apollo and Gemini Capsule frames, as well as the rotator assembly and motion base that the capsules asynchronously attach to and were supported by for use in two special effects scenes.
