Hello, Dolly
on Broadway

McLaren provided entertainment engineering services for the Broadway production Hello, Dolly! The musical opened in 2017 and tells the story of a matchmaker named Dolly (Bette Midler) who travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a match for a miserable ½ millionaire. McLaren provided structural engineering evaluation of the stage apron extension with scenic step units and production loads on house lighting supports, floor girder alterations, and stage right fly floor for loads on floor and from heavy scenic units at the underside at Shubert Theatre.

McLaren also provided annual structural engineering evaluations for the show rigging loads, to help assure ongoing safety of the musical.
