Rutgers Symposium Unites Industry Leaders
to Shape Future of NY-NJ Transportation Infrastructure

Rutgers University collaborated with engineering leaders and members of NJDOT, NJ Transit, Port Authority of NY NJ, MTA, and Gateway Development Commission to help Pave the Way to Meet the Future of Transportation Infrastructure.

Bringing together industry leaders, government officials, and academics, the May 2024 symposium at the School of Engineering sought to tackle critical transportation infrastructure challenges facing the New Jersey and New York metropolitan area. Through insightful panel discussions and keynote speakers, the event explored insights into technological advancements, design-build projects, asset management initiatives, and the role of collaborative partnerships in developing complex infrastructure projects.

Malcolm McLaren, McLaren’s Founder, moderated the closing panel discussion with varied experts on “The Role of Engineering Innovations and Government-Industry-Academe Collaboration in Meeting Transportation Infrastructure Challenges”.

Events like this are crucial for shaping the future of transportation. By fostering collaboration and exchanging ideas, we can develop sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our growing communities.
