Officially Open

Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is officially open! Marking the beginning of a new era of for Philadelphia, the transformed Stadium District is now a premier gaming and entertainment destination. 

Positioned at the center of big-league action from four major professional sports teams, the casino-hotel weaves an authentically Philly experience for fans and gaming patrons alike, combining world-class dining, entertainment, gaming, with luxury hotel accommodations.

Working with BLT Architects and The Cordish Companies, McLaren provided civil and structural engineering services for the for the 1.5 million square foot, entertainment concept that involved razing the site’s former hotel complex. The brand-new facility was designed using a combination of structural systems and unified by a distinctive architectural “ribbon” that connects the parking garage, casino, and hotel tower.

The team also developed unique engineering systems for stormwater management including a 3-acre green roof, ground improvements and shallow foundations resulting in a cost savings of $1.5 million.
