Marine divers dropped into the Blacktip Reef exhibit for routine dive inspections at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
The display’s breathtaking, 265,000-gallon saltwater habitat replicates an Indo-Pacific reef landscape and is home to nearly 70 tropical species of marine animals. Our marine team got up close and personal with the sea life as they performed structural concrete investigations of the tank while the tank was still full to enable the aquarium’s day-to-day operations to go undisturbed.
Back in 2013, our Maryland engineering team worked to renovate the massive display tank for a complete restoration that created the immersive viewing points visitors experience today.
