The National Aquarium’s Harbor Wetland has officially opened its doors to the public, following a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony! This 10,000-square-foot floating wetland exhibit in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor marks the culmination of 14 years of planning, innovation, and collaboration.
The Harbor Wetland recreates a vital salt marsh habitat, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the ecological wonders of the Chesapeake Bay. By restoring this habitat, the exhibit not only improves water quality and attracts native species but also serves as an educational platform, highlighting the importance of wetland ecosystems.
