McLaren’s Vice President & Entertainment Division Chief, Bill Gorlin, PE, SE, recently participated in an inaugural entertainment and engineering summit! Academic leaders and representatives from the entertainment industry met to discuss the possibility of a combined theater and engineering curriculum to strengthen the talent pipeline. The proposed program would allow students to graduate with an engineering degree and a specialization in theater.
“It was interesting to learn about the challenges and opportunities to combine disciplines in educational institutions, and to explore ideas and solutions on how to strengthen the pool of qualified candidates for the specialized entertainment engineering industry.” said Bill Gorlin.
