410 Motor Parkway – Low Rise New Construction

410 Motor Parkway, developed by Aresco Management, is a 4 story 35,000 square feet mixed-use Class A office tower. Once a single-story industrial property in Hauppauge, NY the redevelopment project now spans a height of 70 feet, includes a full basement, first floor retail and restaurant space, upper floors for offices, and topped with outdoor roof terrace. The building’s design, developed in collaboration with WSJS Architects, features an expansive glass façade that bathes the open floor plan in natural light.

410 Motor Parkway – Low Rise New Construction

Engineer of Record

McLaren served as EOR (Engineer of Record) for the low-rise building, providing solutions and support from the concrete foundations to the steel superstructure itself. Our structural engineering team worked to accommodate the large windows without resorting to x-bracing. Instead, we employed steel moment frames and fixed the column base plates to the foundation with robust anchorage, ensuring structural stability. Even when project construction was halted due to the pandemic, McLaren and the rest of the project team were able to adapt to the unprecedented challenge and bring the project to a successful completion.
