Hospital Medical and Electrical Upgrades

McLaren Engineering group provided structural engineering consulting services for the addition and upgrades of medical and electrical equipment to an 11th floor Cardiac Room, and installation of a Cath Lab at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (281 First Avenue, New York, NY 10003). A teaching hospital founded in 1889 on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Mount Sinai Beth Israel is notable for its unique approach to combining medical excellence with clinical innovation.

The McLaren Difference

The building was constructed in the early 20th century, creating multiple unique challenges. McLaren provided inspection and design services related to the hospital’s medical and electrical upgrades. A custom framework was then designed to support specialty medical equipment with strict load/deflation/frequency requirements.
