McLaren Engineering Group provided structural and mechanical engineering services for the Queen + Adam Lambert 2017 world tour. The concert consisted of a guitar-shaped stage, several performer lifts and a custom lighting grid paired with LED screens and production rigging. McLaren’s entertainment expertise helped bring legendary hits including, “We Will Rock You”, “We Are the Champions” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” to life for crowds.
McLaren provided full evaluations on various stage equipment and custom rigged elements for use in both indoor and outdoor performances, ensuring structural adequacy and safety. The firm engineered a large overhead lighting grid as well as intricate performer scissor lifts designed to sync with performance choreography. The multi-axis, 45-foot wide, 24-foot deep halo lighting grid was designed to be flown in and out of audience view with the capability to tilt 45 degrees upstage and downstage.
