Roger Waters ‘Us + Them’ Tour

McLaren Engineering Group provided structural and mechanical engineering services for Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters’ 2017 ‘Us + Them’ tour. In addition to engineering the stage, McLaren also worked on a custom designed and engineered electronic mother grid, as well as new, state-of-the-art projection screens known as “Rolio” drops.

The McLaren Difference: Applied Ingenuity

McLaren provided structural and mechanical engineering evaluation of the stage equipment for the show, and an assessment of custom rigged elements fabricated by TAIT Towers for the tour. The McLaren team reviewed and engineered the entire stage system and performed a structural and mechanical review of the new 17-foot “Rolio” drops, a unique rolled projection fabric that creates a captivating visual show. McLaren also reviewed and maintained the mechanical integrity of the moving screen parts, including motors, gears, belts and brakes during the show.

The Pollstar Awards named this project the Most Creative Stage Production in February 2018.
