The Unified Stormwater Rule (USWR), effective since February 15th, 2022, introduces pivotal amendments to Chapter 31 and Chapter 19.1 of NYC’s Rules. These changes significantly impact citywide stormwater management requirements for both new construction and redevelopment projects.
McLaren has been working with NYC Parks to implement Green Infrastructure Design practices under several playgrounds around the city.
The team provided utility design for Briarcliff Village. Public infrastructure included a water pump station, replacing an aging water tank, and new water mains to upgrade service for the project and surrounding community.

McLaren performed underwater inspections on trash rack guide brackets, installation of new draft tube gates, submerged sections of gate slots and bottom sill, torqueing nuts on the adjustment wedge and guides, dam face, stop logs, cooling water intake valve cleaning, rodney-hunt sluice gate, reservoir spillway and stilling basin, spillway chute and chute blocks, spillway power cutover/commissioning, tainter gates, diesel fire pumps and steel h-piles.
